انسانی جان کا احترام
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ: "مومن اپنے دین کی وسعت اور کشادگی میں اس وقت تک برابر رہتا ہے جب تک کہ وہ کسی حرام خون کو نہیں بہاتا۔" (بخاری)
یعنی جب تک مومن قتلِ ناحق کا مرتکب نہیں ہوتا دین میں اس کے لیے برابر وسعت ہی وسعت ہوتی ہے، اس سے ایک بڑی حقیقت یہ معلوم ہوتی ہے کہ دین اہلِ ایمان کے لیے تنگی پیدا نہیں کرتا بلکہ مومن کا دین تو اس کے لیے سراسر وسعت و فراخی اور امید و خوشخبری ہوتا ہے، تنگی اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی رحمت سے دوری کا سبب تو انسان کے اپنے کرتوت اور بدعملیاں ہوتی ہیں، اور اس طرح کی کتنی ہی حدیثیں ہیں جن سے ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ انسان کی جان اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزدیک نہایت محترم ہے، قتلِ ناحق ایک نہایت سنگین جرم ہے اسے کوئی معمولی چیز نہیں سمجھنا چاہیے۔
ایک حدیث سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ قیامت کے دن سب سے پہلی چیز جس کا فیصلہ لوگوں کے درمیان کیا جائے گا وہ خون کے دعوے ہیں۔ (بحوالہ بخاری و مسلم)
اللہ تعالیٰ کے حقوق میں سب سے پہلے نماز کا سوال ہوگا اور بندوں کے حقوق کے سلسلہ میں سب سے پہلے قتل کے مقدمے کا فیصلہ کیا جائے گا، اس لیے کہ ناحق خون بہانے والا انسانی جان کی حرمت ہی کو تسلیم نہیں کرتا حالانکہ حقوق میں سب سے پہلی اور بنیادی چیز یہ ہے کہ انسان کی جان کا احترام کیا جائے پھر اس کے بعد اس کے دوسرے حقوق قائم ہوتے ہیں جن کی پامالی کے سلسلے میں فیصلے خونِ ناحق کے بعد کیے جائیں گے۔
قرآن مجید کی سورت المائدہ کی آیت ۳۲ میں اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کا ارشادِ مبارک ہے کہ:
"جس نے کسی کو جان کے (بدلے) یا زمین پر فساد (کے بدلے) کے بغیر قتل کیا تو گویا اس نے سارے انسانوں کو مار ڈالا اور جس نے ایک شخص کی جان بچا لی تو گویا اس نے سارے انسانوں کو بچا لیا۔"
اس آیت سے بھی اندازہ لگایا جا سکتا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے ہاں انسانی جان کی کتنی قدر و قیمت اور اہمیت ہے۔
جان تو جان اللہ تعالیٰ ایک دوسرے کے مال کو بھی ناحق طور پر کھانے سے منع فرماتے ہیں، ارشادِ باری تعالیٰ ہے:
"اے ایمان والو! آپس میں ایک دوسرے کا مال ناحق طور پر نہ کھاؤ، ہاں البتہ کوئی خرید و فروخت باہمی رضا مندی سے ہو، اور اپنی جان کو قتل مت کرو (نہ خودکشی کرو اور نہ دوسرے کو قتل کرو) کیونکہ قتل کے بدلے خون بہا کے طور پر بھی جان دینی ہوگی، بے شک اللہ تمہارے حق میں بڑا مہربان ہے، اور جو کوئی ایسا کرے گا، سرکشی اور ظلم کی راہ سے تو ہم عنقریب اس کو آگ میں ڈالیں گے اور یہ اللہ کے لیے آسان ہے۔" (النساء ۔۲۹-۳۰)
آج دنیا میں انسان دوسرے انسان کا شکار کر رہے ہیں اور ایک انسان کے خون کی قدر و قیمت جانوروں کے خون سے بھی کم ہے، جانوروں کے تحفظ کے سلسلے میں آج کے اس دنیا میں جو کہ ترقی یافتہ دنیا کہلاتی ہے بڑی بڑی تنظیمیں بنا دی گئی ہیں لیکن انسانیت کے ناحق قتل پر پوری دنیا میں بے حسی چھائی ہوئی ہے، آج انسانوں کو انتہائی بے دردی کے ساتھ قتل کیا جا رہا، پوری کی پوری انسانی بستیاں ختم کر دی جاتی ہیں لیکن انسانی حقوق کے علمبرداروں اور جدید دنیا کے لیڈروں کو اس پر ذرا سا بھی افسوس اور ملال نہیں ہے، کہیں اس کو دہشتگردی کے خلاف جنگ اور کہیں اس کو علاقائی مسائل کا نام دے دیا جاتا ہے۔ اگر یہی سلسلہ چلتا رہا تو وہ وقت دور نہیں کہ ہم سب اللہ تعالیٰ کی تباہی اور عذاب کا منظر دیکھنے کے لیے اپنے آپ کو تیار کر لیں کیونکہ بالآخر ظلم کی اندھیری رات کا بھی خاتمہ ضرور ہوتا ہے۔

آج دنیا میں انسان دوسرے انسان کا شکار کر رہے ہیں اور ایک انسان کے خون کی قدر و قیمت جانوروں کے خون سے بھی کم ہے، جانوروں کے تحفظ کے سلسلے میں آج کے اس دنیا میں جو کہ ترقی یافتہ دنیا کہلاتی ہے بڑی بڑی تنظیمیں بنا دی گئی ہیں لیکن انسانیت کے ناحق قتل پر پوری دنیا میں بے حسی چھائی ہوئی ہے، آج انسانوں کو انتہائی بے دردی کے ساتھ قتل کیا جا رہا، پوری کی پوری انسانی بستیاں ختم کر دی جاتی ہیں لیکن انسانی حقوق کے علمبرداروں اور جدید دنیا کے لیڈروں کو اس پر ذرا سا بھی افسوس اور ملال نہیں ہے، کہیں اس کو دہشتگردی کے خلاف جنگ اور کہیں اس کو علاقائی مسائل کا نام دے دیا جاتا ہے۔ اگر یہی سلسلہ چلتا رہا تو وہ وقت دور نہیں کہ ہم سب اللہ تعالیٰ کی تباہی اور عذاب کا منظر دیکھنے کے لیے اپنے آپ کو تیار کر لیں کیونکہ بالآخر ظلم کی اندھیری رات کا بھی خاتمہ ضرور ہوتا ہے۔
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The believer remains in the ease and spaciousness of his religion so long as he does not shed unlawful blood."
That is, so long as the believer does not commit unlawful killing, there is nothing but ease and spaciousness for him in the religion. From this a great truth becomes clear: that the religion does not create constriction for the people of faith; rather, the believer's religion is for him nothing but ease, breadth, hope and glad tidings. The cause of constriction and of distance from Allah's mercy is only man's own misdeeds and evil actions. There are many such ahadith which prove that human life is exceedingly sacred in the sight of Allah Most High, that unlawful killing is a most grave crime, and that it should not be regarded as anything trivial.
From one hadith it is learnt that on the Day of Judgement the very first matter to be judged among people will be the claims concerning blood. (reported by Bukhari and Muslim)
Among the rights of Allah Most High, the first to be questioned will be prayer, and in the matter of the rights of people, the first case to be judged will be that of killing — because one who sheds blood unlawfully does not even acknowledge the sanctity of human life, whereas the first and most fundamental of rights is that a human life be respected, and only after that are a person's other rights established, the violations of which will be judged after the matter of unlawful blood.
In the Holy Qur'an, in verse 32 of Surah al-Ma'idah, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has said: "Whoever kills a soul — unless (in retaliation) for a soul or for corruption in the land — it is as if he had killed all of mankind; and whoever saves one life, it is as if he had saved all of mankind."
From this verse too one can gauge how much worth, value and importance human life has in the sight of Allah Most High.
Let alone life, Allah Most High also forbids consuming one another's wealth unlawfully. Allah, the Exalted, has said: "O you who believe! Do not consume one another's wealth unlawfully among yourselves — but let there be trade by mutual consent — and do not kill yourselves (neither commit suicide nor kill another), for in retaliation for killing a life must be given as blood-money. Indeed, Allah is Most Merciful towards you. And whoever does so out of rebellion and injustice, We shall soon cast him into the Fire, and that is easy for Allah." (al-Nisa 29-30)
Today in the world men are preying upon other men, and the worth and value of a human's blood has become even less than that of animals' blood. In this world of today, which calls itself the developed world, great organisations have been set up for the protection of animals, yet over the unlawful killing of humanity an indifference has spread across the whole world. Today human beings are being killed with the utmost cruelty, and entire human settlements are being wiped out, yet the champions of human rights and the leaders of the modern world feel not the slightest sorrow or grief over it — somewhere it is given the name of a war against terrorism, and somewhere the name of regional issues. If this state of affairs continues, the time is not far when we must all prepare ourselves to witness the spectacle of the destruction and punishment of Allah Most High, for in the end the dark night of oppression too surely comes to an end.
