لا حول ولا قوة الا باللہ کی فضیلت
حضرت ابو موسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: ”میں تمہیں وہ کلمہ بتاؤں جو جنت کے خزانوں میں سے ہے؟“۔ میں نے عرض کیا: ہاں حضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ضرور بتائیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) نے فرمایا: وہ ہے ”لا حول ولا قوۃ الا باللہ“ (نیکی کرنے اور برائی سے بچنے کی طاقت اللہ کی توفیق کے بغیر نہیں)۔ (بخاری و مسلم)
اللہ تعالیٰ کا ذکر ایک ایسی آسان عبادت ہے کہ اسے انسان معمولی سی توجہ سے ہر وقت انجام دے سکتا ہے، اس کے فضائل اور فوائد لاتعداد ہیں، قرآن مجید اور احادیث مبارکہ میں اس کی بے انتہا تاکید ہے اور اس پر عمل پیرا ہونے پر بے انتہا اجر و ثواب کا وعدہ ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ایک جگہ اس طرح حکم فرما رہے ہیں:
”اے ایمان والو! تم اللہ تعالیٰ کا خوب کثرت سے ذکر کرو، اور صبح و شام اس کی تسبیح کرتے رہو“۔ (الاحزاب، ۴۱،۴۲)
اسی ذکر کی کثرت سے اللہ تعالیٰ کی محبت پیدا ہوتی ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ کے ساتھ تعلق مضبوط ہوتا ہے اور انسان کی روح کو غذا ملتی ہے، اس روحانی قوت کے نتیجے میں انسان کے لیے نفس اور شیطان سے مقابلہ کرنا آسان ہو جاتا ہے، اور گناہوں سے بچنے میں بھی سہولت ہوتی ہے اور ہر ذکر کے ساتھ نامہ اعمال میں نیکیوں کا اضافہ ہوتا چلا جاتا ہے۔
انسان کی زندگی بھر کی تمام جدوجہد اور مقصد اور ساری تمناؤں اور آرزوؤں کا حاصل یہی ہے کہ وہ ہر بری اور ناپسندیدہ بات سے محفوظ رہے اور ہر طرح کی عزت و مرتبہ و بلندی اور آرام و راحت اسے میسر ہو، ”لا حول ولا قوۃ الا باللہ“ کی تعلیم یہی ہے اور اسی یقین و ایمان کو اس حدیث میں اجاگر کیا گیا ہے کہ برائی، نقصان اور تکلیف سے بچنا اور ہر قسم کی بھلائی اور کامیابی کا دینا صرف اللہ تعالیٰ کے ہاتھ میں ہے، اس یقین کا دل میں مضبوط ہو جانا ہی جنت کا خزانہ ہے۔
”اے ایمان والو! تم اللہ تعالیٰ کا خوب کثرت سے ذکر کرو، اور صبح و شام اس کی تسبیح کرتے رہو“۔ (الاحزاب، ۴۱،۴۲)

English translation
Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: "Shall I not tell you a word that is one of the treasures of Paradise?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah, please do tell me." He said: "It is 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (there is no power to do good nor strength to keep away from evil except by the enabling grace of Allah)." (Bukhari and Muslim)
The remembrance of Allah (dhikr) is such an easy act of worship that a person can perform it at any time with the slightest attention. Its virtues and benefits are countless; the Glorious Qur'an and the noble ahadith emphasise it without limit, and a boundless reward is promised for acting upon it. In one place Allah commands: "O you who believe, remember Allah with much remembrance, and glorify Him morning and evening." (al-Ahzab 41-42) Through abundant remembrance love for Allah is created, one's bond with Allah is strengthened, and the soul is nourished; through the spiritual strength this brings, it becomes easier for a person to contend with the self and Satan, and it becomes easier to avoid sins, while with every remembrance good deeds keep being added to one's record. The sum of all a person's lifelong striving and purpose, and of all their hopes and desires, is that they be safe from every evil and undesirable thing and that every kind of honour, rank, elevation, comfort and ease be granted to them. This is precisely the teaching of "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah," and it is this conviction and faith that this hadith highlights: that protection from evil, loss and hardship, and the granting of every kind of good and success, are in the hand of Allah alone. For this certainty to become firm in the heart is itself the treasure of Paradise.
