پانچ سوال
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ: "قیامت کے دن (جب حساب کتاب کے لیے اللہ تعالیٰ کے حضور پیشی ہوگی تو) آدمی کے پاؤں اپنی جگہ سے سرک نہ سکیں گے جب تک کہ اس سے پانچ چیزوں کے بارے میں پوچھ کچھ نہ کرلی جائے گی:
۱۔ اس کی پوری زندگی کے بارے میں کہ کن کاموں اور مشغلوں میں اس کو ختم کیا؟
۲۔ خصوصیت سے اس کی جوانی کے بارے میں کہ کن مشغلوں میں اس کو بوسیدہ اور پرانا کیا؟
۳۔ اور ۴۔ مال و دولت کے بارے میں کہ کہاں سے اور کن طریقوں اور راستوں سے اس کو حاصل کیا تھا؟ اور کن کاموں اور کن راہوں میں اس کو صرف کیا؟
۵۔ جو کچھ معلوم تھا اس پر کتنا عمل کیا؟"۔ (ترمذی)
۱۔ اس کی پوری زندگی کے بارے میں کہ کن کاموں اور مشغلوں میں اس کو ختم کیا؟
۲۔ خصوصیت سے اس کی جوانی کے بارے میں کہ کن مشغلوں میں اس کو بوسیدہ اور پرانا کیا؟
۳۔ اور ۴۔ مال و دولت کے بارے میں کہ کہاں سے اور کن طریقوں اور راستوں سے اس کو حاصل کیا تھا؟ اور کن کاموں اور کن راہوں میں اس کو صرف کیا؟
۵۔ جو کچھ معلوم تھا اس پر کتنا عمل کیا؟"۔ (ترمذی)
اس حدیث مبارک سے واضح طور پر معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ ہمیں آخرت میں اپنے دنیا میں کیے ہوئے ایک ایک عمل کا جواب دہ ہونا پڑے گا، اور بالخصوص اپنی جوانی کے حوالے سے کیونکہ اس وقت آدمی اپنی صحت و طاقت کے نشے میں مبتلا ہوتا ہے اور یہی وقت نیکی کے حصول اور بدی سے اجتناب کے حوالے سے انسان کی زندگی کا سب سے اہم موڑ ہوتا ہے، اس کے علاوہ اس حدیث سے یہ بھی معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ قیامت میں ہر انسان کو اپنی پوری آمدنی و خرچ کا حساب بھی دینا ہوگا، کہ کتنا مال کمایا، حلال طریقے سے یا حرام راستے سے، اور پھر اپنی کمائی کو کس حساب سے خرچ کیا، یعنی جائز یا ناجائز میں، وہ لوگ یقیناً خوش نصیب ہیں جو کہ مالی معاملات میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی ہدایت اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لائے ہوئے احکامات کی پابندی کرتے ہیں، اور اس کے ساتھ یہ سوال بھی ہوگا کہ جو علم تمہیں تھا اس پر کس حد تک عمل پیرا ہوئے، اللہ تعالیٰ ہم سب کو ان سوالات کا وہاں صحیح جواب دینے کے لیے یہاں یعنی اس دنیا میں اس کی صحیح تیاری کی توفیق مرحمت فرمائے (آمین)۔
English translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection (when a person is brought before Allah the Exalted for the reckoning) a man's feet will not move from their place until he has been questioned about five things:
1. About his whole life — in what works and occupations he spent and finished it;
2. In particular about his youth — in what pursuits he wore it out and made it old;
3 and 4. About his wealth and riches — from where and by what means and paths he acquired it, and in what works and on what ways he spent it;
5. How much he acted upon what he knew." (Tirmidhi)
This blessed hadith clearly shows that in the Hereafter we will have to answer for each and every deed we performed in this world, and especially concerning our youth — for that is the time when a person is prone to being intoxicated by his health and strength, and it is precisely that time which becomes the most important turning point in a person's life with respect to attaining good and avoiding evil. Besides this, the hadith also makes clear that on the Day of Resurrection every person will have to give an account of all his income and expenditure: how much wealth he earned, by lawful means or by unlawful; and then on what he spent his earnings, that is, on the permissible or the impermissible. Fortunate indeed are those who observe Allah the Exalted's guidance and the commands brought by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in financial matters. Along with this there will also be the question of how far a person acted upon the knowledge he had. May Allah the Exalted grant us all the ability to prepare correctly here in this world so as to answer these questions rightly there. (Ameen)
