خوشی کی انتہا
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے،وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ کرام رضوان اللہ عنہم اجمعین کو کبھی اتنا خوش ہوتے نہیں دیکھا جتنا وہ اس پر خوش ہوئے،ایک شخص نے کہا:اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! ایک شخص ایک آدمی سے اس کے نیک عمل کی وجہ سے محبت کرتا ہے اگرچہ وہ خود اس جیسا عمل نہیں کرتا،آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا:"آدمی اسی کے ساتھ ہوگا جس سے وہ محبت رکھتا ہے۔" (ابو داؤد)
زندگی کی بنیادی قدروں میں سے ہر ایک قدر کو اتنی جامع و وسیع حقیقت حاصل ہے کہ اسے دین کا عنوان قرار دیا جاسکتا ہے اور اس کے ذریعہ سے دین کی تعبیر کی جاسکتی ہے،اس کے علاوہ فکر کی بلند ترین سطح پر ساری اقدار باہم شیر و شکر کی طرح مل کر اس طرح ایک ہوجاتے ہیں کہ ان میں کوئی فرق باقی نہیں رہتا۔
محبت زندگی کی ایک اہم قدر اور ایک اہم جذبہ ہے،دین نے اسے بنیادی اہمیت دی ہے،اسلام کے بارے میں جو لوگ غلط فہمیوں کا شکار ہیں یا جو کسی وجہ سے اس سے دشمنی کا رویہ اختیار کیے ہوئے ہیں وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اسلام ایک سخت گیر مذہب ہے،کاش وہ سمجھ سکتے کہ کتنی غلط بات ان کی زبان سے نکل رہی ہے،اسلام تو فی الواقع محبت کا مذہب ہے،اسلام اور اس کے عقائد و نظریات کو سمجھنے کے لیے ضروری ہے کہ آدمی زندگی کے حقائق کو سمجھے،اسلام زندگی کے حقیقتوں سے الگ کوئی چیز نہیں ہے،اسی لیے اسلام کو ہدایت سے تعبیر کیا گیا ہے،توحید اور آخرت کے نظریہ کو لیجیے،دونوں ہی کا زندگی کے ان حقائق سے گہرا تعلق ہے جن سے صرف نظر کرنا اندھا پن اور گمراہی ہے،مخالف اسلام نظریات کو اسی لیے ضلالت و اندھیرا کہا گیا ہے کہ ان میں زندگی کی حقیقتیں نظر انداز ہوکر رہ جاتی ہیں،آخرت میں دوسری کوئی چیز نہیں،زندگی ہی کے حقائق روشن ہوں گے،جس طرح آپ آم کا درخت لگاتے ہیں اور ایک وقت ایسا آتا ہے جب آپ کا لگایا ہوا یہ درخت پھل دینے لگتا ہے،پھل دینے سے پہلے بھی اس سے آپ کو شادابی اور سایہ وغیرہ حاصل ہوتا ہے،لیکن وقت آنے پر اس کے علاوہ آپ کو میٹھے پھل بھی دینے لگتا ہے اور اس درخت کے اندر جو امکانات موجود ہیں وہ موجود رہتے ہیں،ٹھیک اسی طرح اس موجودہ زندگی میں جو امکانات پائے جاتے ہیں ان سے ہم اس دنیا میں بھی فائدہ اٹھاتے ہیں لیکن ایک مرحلہ ایسا آئے گا کہ زندگی کے امکانات مکمل طور پر ظاہر ہوکر ویکسیں گے اور آدمی لازوال نعمتوں سے بہرہ مند ہوگا،غرضیکہ آخرت کوئی ایسی چیز نہیں ہے جو اس کائنات اور موجودہ زندگی سے مطابقت نہ رکھتی ہو بلکہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ آخرت موجودہ زندگی کے امکانات ہی کا کامل اظہار ہے۔
محبت موجودہ زندگی کی ایک معلوم و معروف شے ہے،اس کے اثرات کا دائرہ دونوں جہاں تک وسیع ہے،مومن کی زندگی میں محبت کے جذبہ کی بڑی قدر و قیمت ہے،اللہ تعالیٰ خود اپنے نیک بندوں سے محبت فرماتا ہے،محبت کا جذبہ بڑا مستحکم اور پاکیزہ ہوتا ہے،محبت کو ساری کدورتوں اور گندگی سے دل کو پاک کرنے کی قوت حاصل ہے،اللہ تعالیٰ کی ذات محبوب ذات ہے،اس کی اگر کسی کو پہچان ہوجائے تو وہ لازماً اس سے محبت رکھے گا اور اطاعت و بندگی میں سرگرم نظر آئے گا،اللہ تعالیٰ کی راہ میں جد وجہد کرنے میں بھی وہ پیچھے نہیں رہ سکتا،اللہ سے محبت کرنے والوں کے باہمی تعلقات میں بھی محبت کارفرما ہوگی،وہ باہم ایک دوسرے کے دین وایمان اور جان و مال کے بھی محافظ ثابت ہوں گے۔
دوستی اور محبت اس دنیا کی زندگی کی بھی ایک اہم ضرورت ہے،جس کا کوئی دوست نہ ہو اس کی زندگی بے کیف و بے رنگ ہوگی،حدیث میں ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سلمہ بن اکوع کو چڑے کی ایک ڈھال عنایت فرمائی تھی،انہوں نے اسے کسی شخص کو دے دی،آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے دریافت فرمایا سلمہ تیری ڈھال کہاں ہے؟انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ میں نے اپنے دوست کو دے دی،اس پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا۔اللہ تو مجھے ایسا دوست دے جو مجھے میری جان سے پیارا ہو۔(بحوالہ مسلم)
محبت بذات خود بھی نعمت ہے،یہ بذات خود زندگی کو مطلوب ہے،محبت وہ نور ہے جس سے اللہ کی پہچان ہوتی ہے،محبت نور ہے،محبت علم ہے،نیک شخص کا حق ہے کہ ہم اس سے محبت کا تعلق رکھیں،اس کے ذریعہ سے ہمیں اس کی رفاقت حاصل ہوسکتی ہے،اس لیے کہ جذبہ محبت وہ جذبہ ہے جس کی قدر و قیمت بہر صورت باقی رہتی ہے،سچی محبت کا ثبوت کبھی محض جذبہ دل ہی فراہم کردیتا ہے،کیوں کہ کثیر دولت خرچ کردینے کے بعد بھی محبت کی حقیقت نہیں ہوسکتی،اللہ تعالیٰ اصلا ہمارے دلوں کو دیکھتا ہے۔

English translation
Narrated by Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I never saw the noble Companions of the Prophet ﷺ (may Allah be pleased with them all) as joyful over anything as they were over this. A man said, "O Messenger of Allah! A man loves another man for his righteous deeds, even though he himself does not act as that man does." The Prophet ﷺ said: "A man will be with those he loves." (Abu Dawud)
Each of the fundamental values of life possesses so comprehensive and vast a reality that it can be made the title of the whole religion, and through it the religion itself can be expressed. Beyond this, at the highest level of thought all values blend together like milk and sugar and become one in such a way that no difference remains among them.
Love is one of the important values and one of the important sentiments of life; the religion has given it fundamental importance. Those who are victims of misconceptions about Islam, or who for some reason have adopted an attitude of hostility toward it, say that Islam is a harsh and severe religion. Would that they could understand how wrong is the word issuing from their tongues, for Islam is in reality the religion of love. To understand Islam and its beliefs and doctrines it is necessary that a person understand the realities of life; Islam is not something apart from the realities of life — that is why Islam has been described as guidance. Take the doctrine of Tawhid (Divine Oneness) and of the Hereafter: both are deeply connected to those realities of life which it is blindness and misguidance to ignore. Doctrines opposed to Islam are for this very reason called error and darkness, because in them the realities of life are left out of account. In the Hereafter there is nothing other; it is the very realities of life that will be made manifest. Just as you plant a mango tree and a time comes when the tree you planted begins to bear fruit — even before it fruits you gain from it freshness and shade, but in time, besides these, it begins to give you sweet fruit as well, while the potentials within the tree remain present — in exactly the same way, from the potentials found in this present life we benefit even in this world; but a stage will come when the potentials of life will be fully manifested, and man will enjoy imperishable blessings. In short, the Hereafter is not something that does not correspond with this universe and this present life; rather the truth is that the Hereafter is the complete manifestation of the very potentials of this present life.
Love is a known and recognised thing of this present life, and the range of its effects extends to both worlds. In the life of a believer the sentiment of love has great worth; Allah Himself loves His righteous servants. The sentiment of love is very firm and pure; love has the power to cleanse the heart of all rancour and filth. The Being of Allah is the most beloved Being, and if someone comes to recognise Him, he will necessarily love Him and will be found eager in obedience and worship; nor can he lag behind in striving in the way of Allah. Among those who love Allah, love will also prevail in their mutual relations, and they will prove to be guardians of one another's religion and faith, life and property.
Friendship and love are an important need of this worldly life too; the life of one who has no friend is joyless and colourless. A hadith relates that the noble Prophet ﷺ had given Salama bin al-Akwa a leather shield, and he gave it to someone. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Salama, where is your shield?" He replied, "I gave it to my friend." At this the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, grant me such a friend as is dearer to me than my own life" (reported by Muslim).
Love is in itself a blessing; it is in itself desired by life. Love is the light by which Allah is recognised; love is light, love is knowledge. It is the right of a righteous person that we keep a bond of love with him, through which his companionship can be attained by us — for the sentiment of love is a sentiment whose worth remains in every case. True love is sometimes proved by the sentiment of the heart alone, for even after spending great wealth the reality of love cannot be established; Allah looks, in essence, at our hearts.
