اولاد کی محبت فطری ہے
عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِىٍّ وَ عِنْدَهُ الْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ التَّمِيمِىُّ جَالِسًا فَقَالَ الْأَقْرَعُ إِنَّ لِى عَشَرَةً مِنَ الْوَلَدِ مَا قَبَّلْتُ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًا فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ لَا يُرْحَمُ ـ
حضرت ابو ہریرۃ رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حسن بن علی رضی اللہ عنہما کو چوما جبکہ وہاں حضرت اقرع بن حابس تمیمی رضی اللہ عنہ بھی بیٹھے تھے۔ وہ (یہ دیکھ کر) کہنے لگے: ”میرے دس بچے ہیں میں نے تو ان میں سے کسی کو بھی پیار نہیں کیا۔“ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کی جانب (تعجب سے) دیکھا اور فرمایا: ”جو رحم نہیں کرتا اس پر رحم بھی نہیں کیا جانا۔“ (صحیح البخاری، کتاب الأدب، باب رحمۃ الولد و تقبیلہ و معانقتہ، رقم الحدیث ۵۹۹۷)
بچے انسان کے لیے اللہ کی طرف سے عطیہ ہیں۔ یہ گھروں کی بہار ہیں۔ ان کا وجود، ان کو دیکھنا، ان کی میٹھی میٹھی باتیں انسان کے دل کو لبھاتی ہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے والدین کے دلوں میں اپنی اولاد کے لیے جو رحم، شفقت، الفت رکھا ہے یہ خود اس کے اپنے وجود کی دلیل ہے۔ والدین میں بچوں کی محبت فطری ہے۔ اس میں نسل، رنگ اور قومیت کا کوئی دخل نہیں ہے۔
﴿اللہ کی (بنائی ہوئی) فطرت جس پر اللہ نے لوگوں کو پیدا کیا ہے، فطرت میں تغیر و تبدیلی نہیں ہو سکتی۔﴾ (روم۔۳۰)
سورۃ کہف میں اللہ تعالیٰ کا ارشاد گرامی ہے:
﴿مال اور بیٹے دنیا کی زندگی کی رونق ہیں۔﴾ (کہف۔۴۶)
سورۃ آل عمران آیت ۱۴ میں ارشاد ہوتا ہے:
﴿لوگوں کے لیے خوشنما کر دی گئی ہے پسندیدہ چیزوں کی محبت (خواہ) عورتوں سے ہو یا بیٹوں سے یا ڈھیر لگے ہوئے سونے اور چاندی سے یا نشان لگے ہوئے گھوڑوں سے یا مویشیوں سے یا زراعت سے۔﴾
نرمی، شفقت، پیار، عمدہ سلوک اسلامی معاشرے کی عظیم خوبی ہے۔ اسی لیے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نرم مزاج ہے، نرمی کو پسند فرماتا ہے، (صحیح مسلم)۔ اور خاص طور پر بچے تو اس کا سب سے زیادہ حق رکھتے ہیں کہ ان سے محبت کی جائے، ان کا بوسہ لیا جائے اور ان سے شفقت کا سلوک کیا جائے۔ ایک روایت میں آتا ہے کہ کچھ دیہاتی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور انہوں نے سوال کیا: ”کیا آپ لوگ اپنے بچوں کو چومتے ہیں؟“ حاضر صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے جواب دیا: ”ہاں۔“ ان (دیہاتیوں) نے کہا: ”بخدا! ہم تو نہیں چومتے۔“ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر اللہ تمہارے دلوں سے رحم نکال دے تو میں تمہارے لیے کیا کر سکتا ہوں!“، (صحیح بخاری)۔ گویا بچوں سے پیار کرنا عین فطرتِ انسانی ہے اور اس سے محرومی بہت بڑی نعمت سے محرومی ہے۔
ایک روایت میں آتا ہے کہ ایک عورت کو حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے تین کھجوریں دیں تو اس نے دو اپنے دو بچوں کو دے دیں اور ایک اپنے لیے رکھ لی۔ دونوں بچوں نے اپنی اپنی کھجور کھا لی اور پھر اپنی ماں کی طرف دیکھنے لگے۔ ماں نے اپنی والی کھجور کے دو ٹکڑے کیے اور دونوں کو آدھا آدھا ٹکڑا دے دیا۔ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آئے تو حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے اس واقعہ کا ذکر کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تمہیں اس پر تعجب کیوں ہوا! اللہ تعالیٰ نے بچوں پر رحم کرنے کی وجہ سے اس پر بھی رحم کیا۔“، (الادب المفرد)۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے نواسے پر جانکنی کی حالت طاری ہوئی تو اس کی حالت دیکھ کر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی آنکھوں سے آنسو جاری ہو گئے تو حضرت سعد رضی اللہ عنہ نے دریافت کیا: ”اے اللہ کے رسول یہ کیا بات ہے؟“ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ کی رحمت ہے جو اس نے اپنے بندوں کے دلوں میں رکھ دی ہے۔“، (صحیح بخاری)۔

English translation
Narrated Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed al-Ḥasan ibn ‘Alī (may Allah be pleased with them both) while al-Aqra‘ ibn Ḥābis al-Tamīmī (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting there. Seeing this, he said: “I have ten children and I have never kissed any one of them.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked towards him (in astonishment) and said: “He who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.”
Children are a gift to man from Allah. They are the springtime of the home. Their very presence, the sight of them, their sweet chatter — all of it delights the human heart. The mercy, tenderness and affection that Allah has placed in the hearts of parents for their own children is itself a proof of His existence. Love for children in parents is something natural; race, colour and nationality have no part in it.
“(Adhere to) the nature made by Allah upon which He created mankind. There is no changing or altering the creation of Allah.” (al-Rūm, 30)
In Sūrah al-Kahf Allah says:
“Wealth and sons are the adornment of the life of this world.” (al-Kahf, 46)
In Sūrah Āl ‘Imrān, verse 14, it is said:
“Beautified for people is the love of desired things — whether women or sons, or heaped-up hoards of gold and silver, or branded horses, or cattle, or tilled land.”
Gentleness, tenderness, affection and fine conduct are a great virtue of Islamic society. That is why the Prophet ﷺ said that Allah is gentle and loves gentleness (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim). And children in particular have the greatest right that they be loved, that they be kissed, and that they be treated with tenderness. One narration relates that some village folk came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked: “Do you people kiss your children?” The Companions present (may Allah be pleased with them) replied: “Yes.” They (the villagers) said: “By God, we do not kiss them.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “If Allah has taken mercy out of your hearts, what can I do for you!” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī). So loving one’s children is the very nature of man, and to be deprived of it is to be deprived of a very great blessing.
One narration relates that ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) gave a woman three dates. She gave two to her two children and kept one for herself. Both children ate their dates and then looked towards their mother. The mother broke her own date into two pieces and gave half to each of them. When the Prophet ﷺ came, ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) mentioned the incident to him, and he ﷺ said: “Why does this astonish you! Allah showed mercy to her because of the mercy she showed to her children.” (al-Adab al-Mufrad). When the death agony came upon the grandson of the Prophet ﷺ, and he ﷺ saw his condition, tears began to flow from his eyes. Sa‘d (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: “O Messenger of Allah, what is this?” He ﷺ said: “This is a mercy which Allah has placed in the hearts of His servants.” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī).
