توحید و رسالت کی شہادت

'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I myself heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Whoever testifies that none is worthy of worship and servitude except Allah, and that Muhammad ﷺ is His Messenger, Allah has forbidden the Fire of Hell for that person.” (Muslim)

“There is no god but Allah” holds the place of the first brick in the foundation of the religion, and among all matters of faith its rank is the highest and loftiest. This was the religion of all the Prophets, which Allah sent them to teach to His servants; it is the foremost and most important lesson of all the Prophets.

That Muhammad ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah means that Allah sent him ﷺ to guide the world, and whatever he ﷺ conveyed is the truth, in which there is no room for any doubt.

These two parts of the noble Kalimah are in reality a pledge and covenant: that I acknowledge with my heart and tongue Allah alone as the true object of worship and Master, and I hold that everything of this world and the Hereafter is under His control and authority alone; therefore I shall worship and serve Him alone, and just as a master would have his servant walk according to his commands, so shall I walk according to His commands, and I shall love Him and be attached to Him above all else; and I accept Muhammad ﷺ as the Messenger sent by Allah, and as one of his followers I shall obey and follow him and act upon the law he brought.

In short, this Kalimah is our acknowledgement and proclamation, our creed and faith, the principle of our life, and our message to the whole world.
