صرف اللہ کے لیے محبت کرنے کا خاص اجر
حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”اللہ کے بندوں میں کچھ ایسے خوش نصیب بھی ہیں، جو نبی یا شہید تو نہیں، لیکن قیامت کے دن بہت سے انبیاء اور شہداء ان کے خاص مقام قرب کی وجہ سے ان پر رشک کریں گے، صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم نے عرض کیا، یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! ہمیں بتلا دیجیے کہ وہ کون بندے ہیں؟ آپ (ﷺ) نے فرمایا، وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے بغیر کسی رشتہ اور قرابت کے، اور بغیر کسی مالی لین دین کے روح خداوندی کی وجہ سے باہم محبت کی، پس قسم ہے اللہ کی، ان کے چہرے قیامت کے دن نورانی ہوں گے بلکہ سراسر نور ہوں گے، اور وہ نور کے منبروں پر ہوں گے، اور عام انسانوں کو جس وقت خوف و ہراس ہوگا، اس وقت وہ بے خوف اور مطمئن ہوں گے، وہ اس وقت بے غم ہوں گے، اور اس موقع پر آپ (ﷺ) نے یہ آیت تلاوت کی ’الا ان اولیاء اللہ لا خوف علیھم و لا ھم یحزنون‘۔ سن لو، اللہ کے دوستوں کو نہ تو کوئی خوف ہوگا اور نہ وہ غمگین ہوں گے“۔ (ابو داؤد)
اس دنیا میں خونی رشتہ اور قرابت کی وجہ سے تعلق و محبت کا ہونا ایک ایسی عمومی اور فطری بات ہے جو انسانوں کے علاوہ عام جانوروں بلکہ درندوں میں بھی اللہ تعالیٰ نے ڈال دی ہے، اسی طرح اگر کوئی شخص کسی کی مالی امداد کرتا ہے، اس کو ہدیے اور تحفے دیتا ہے تو اس سے بھی اس محسن کی محبت پیدا ہو جانا فطری بات ہے جو کافروں، مشرکوں اور فاسقوں فاجروں میں بھی پائی جاتی ہے، لیکن کسی رشتہ اور قرابت کے بغیر اور کسی مالی لین دین اور کسی ہدیے اور تحفے کے بغیر محض اللہ تعالیٰ کے دین کے تعلق سے کسی سے محبت کرنا ایک ایسی ایمانی صفت ہے جس کی اللہ کے یہاں بڑی قدر و قیمت ہے اور اس کی وجہ سے وہ بندہ اللہ کا خاص محبوب و مقرب بن جاتا ہے، اور اس وجہ سے روز قیامت اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ کی ایسی نوازشیں ہوں گی کہ انبیاء اور شہداء بھی اس پر رشک فرمائیں گے۔
اس کا مطلب یہ نہیں ہے کہ وہ مرتبے اور درجے کے لحاظ سے انبیاء اور شہداء سے افضل ہوں گے، کبھی ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ کم درجے کے کسی آدمی کو کسی اچھی حالت میں دیکھ کر اس سے اونچے درجے والوں کو بھی اس پر رشک آنے لگتا ہے، گویا رشک سے مراد یہاں تحسین و قدردانی ہے۔
حدیث کے آخری حصے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قرآن مجید کی سورہ یونس کی آیت نمبر ۶۲ تلاوت فرمائی، جس میں اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے ان مومن بندوں کو خوش خبری دیتا ہے جو کہ کسی بھی نفسانی اور دنیاوی غرض کے بغیر ایک دوسرے سے خالصتاً اللہ کی رضا کے لیے محبت کرتے ہیں، ایسے لوگوں کو یہاں اللہ تعالیٰ کا دوست کہا گیا ہے، اور ایسے لوگوں پر اللہ تعالیٰ کا خاص الخاص انعام یہ ہوگا کہ ان کو قیامت کی ہولناکیوں کا اتنا خوف نہیں ہوگا، جس طرح دوسروں کو ہوگا، نہ ہی وہ کسی طرح کے غم میں مبتلا ہوں گے، اور یہ بالکل مطمئن اور اللہ تعالیٰ کے خاص فضل و کرم سے شاداں و فرحاں ہوں گے اور اپنے ایمان و تقویٰ کی وجہ سے اللہ کی رحمت و فضل خاص کے امیدوار ہوں گے۔
اس کا مطلب یہ نہیں ہے کہ وہ مرتبے اور درجے کے لحاظ سے انبیاء اور شہداء سے افضل ہوں گے، کبھی ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ کم درجے کے کسی آدمی کو کسی اچھی حالت میں دیکھ کر اس سے اونچے درجے والوں کو بھی اس پر رشک آنے لگتا ہے، گویا رشک سے مراد یہاں تحسین و قدردانی ہے۔

English translation
Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Among the servants of Allah there are some fortunate ones who are neither prophets nor martyrs, yet on the Day of Resurrection many prophets and martyrs will envy them for their special station of nearness (to Allah)." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah, tell us who they are." He (ﷺ) said, "They are people who loved one another, without any tie of kinship or relationship and without any exchange of wealth, purely on account of the divine spirit (of faith). By Allah, their faces will be luminous on the Day of Resurrection — indeed they will be pure light — and they will be upon pulpits of light. When ordinary people are seized by terror, they will be without fear and at peace; on that day they will be without grief." And on this occasion he (ﷺ) recited this verse: 'Behold! Verily the friends of Allah — no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.' Listen well: the friends of Allah shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve."

In this world, to feel attachment and love on account of blood ties and kinship is such a general and natural thing that Allah has placed it not only in human beings but even in ordinary animals, indeed in beasts of prey. Likewise, if a person gives financial help to someone, or gives him gifts and presents, it is natural that love for such a benefactor should arise — and this too is found even among disbelievers, polytheists, and the wicked and immoral. But to love someone purely on account of one's connection to the religion of Allah — without any tie of kinship or relationship, and without any financial dealing, gift, or present — is a quality of faith that holds great worth and value in the sight of Allah; because of it, that servant becomes a special beloved and intimate of Allah, and on account of it, on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will bestow upon him such favours that even the prophets and martyrs will envy him.
This does not mean that such people will be superior to the prophets and martyrs in rank and degree. Sometimes it happens that, on seeing a person of lower rank in some good state, even those of higher rank begin to envy him; so the "envy" meant here is admiration and appreciation.
In the final part of the hadith, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited verse 62 of Surah Yunus of the Holy Qur'an, in which Allah gives glad tidings to those believing servants of His who love one another purely for the pleasure of Allah, without any selfish or worldly motive. Such people have here been called the friends of Allah, and Allah's most special reward for them will be that they will not fear the horrors of the Day of Resurrection as much as others will, nor will they be afflicted by any kind of grief; they will be completely at peace, joyful and delighted by Allah's special grace and bounty, and by virtue of their faith and piety they will be hopeful of Allah's mercy and special favour.
