ماں باپ اولاد کی جنت اور دوزخ ہیں
حضرت ابو امامہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، کہ ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ: اولاد پر ماں باپ کا کتنا حق ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ: ”وہ تمہاری جنت اور دوزخ ہیں“۔ (سنن ابن ماجہ)
اسلامی شریعت حقوق و فرائض کا مجموعہ ہے، قرآن و حدیث میں کثرت سے حقوق کی ادائیگی کا حکم دیا گیا ہے، جس کے بعد اللہ تعالیٰ اور آخرت کا ماننے والا شخص دوسروں کی حق تلفی کی ہمت نہیں کر سکتا، اس دنیا میں انسان کا سب سے پہلا اور سب سے بڑا تعلق ماں باپ سے ہے، قرآن مجید میں ماں باپ کی خدمت اور ان کے ساتھ حسن سلوک کا حکم اللہ تعالیٰ کی توحید اور عبادت کے ساتھ ساتھ دیا گیا ہے، جس سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ بندوں کے حقوق میں سب سے زیادہ حق والدین کا رکھا گیا ہے، اس حدیث سے بھی یہ بات آسانی سے سمجھ میں آتی ہے کہ اگر اولاد ماں باپ کی خدمت کرے گی اور ان کو راضی رکھے گی تو جنت پا لے گی، اس کے مقابلے میں اگر اولاد ماں باپ کی نافرمانی کرے گی اور انہیں ناراض کرے گی اور ان کا دل دکھائے گی تو دوزخ میں اپنا ٹھکانہ بنائے گی۔
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “What right do parents have over their children?” He ﷺ replied: “They are your Paradise and your Hell.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
Islamic law is a body of rights and duties. The Qur'an and Hadith repeatedly command the fulfilment of rights, so that anyone who believes in Allah and the Hereafter cannot bring himself to violate the rights of others. In this world a person's first and greatest relationship is with his parents; in the Holy Qur'an the command to serve parents and treat them kindly is placed alongside the command of Allah's Oneness and worship — which shows that of all the rights owed to created beings, the greatest is the right of one's parents. From this hadith too it is easily understood that if children serve their parents and keep them pleased, they will attain Paradise; whereas if children disobey their parents, anger them and hurt their hearts, they will make their abode in Hell.
