قاتل

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet ﷺ said: "By the One in whose Hand is my soul! A time will come upon people when the killer will not know why he killed, and the slain will not know why he was slain."

That is, such corruption and disorder will appear that killing will be indiscriminate; unlawful bloodshed will become commonplace, and human blood will be so cheap that no one will be surprised at incidents of killing and bloodshed — meaning that between the killer and the killed there will be no apparent personal enmity or hostility. Killing is so grave a sin that Allah says concerning it in the Holy Qur'an: "Whoever kills a believer deliberately, his recompense is Hell, wherein he shall abide forever; the wrath and curse of Allah are upon him, and a mighty punishment is prepared for him." (An-Nisa 93) In reality the matter of killing is extremely serious; this can be gauged from the fact that on the Day of Judgement, among the rights owed to people, the first cases to be decided will be those concerning bloodshed. Are we not living in such an age today?
