فرض نماز کے بعد جگہ بدلنے کا حکم

Umar bin Ata bin Abi al-Khuwar relates that Nafi bin Jubayr sent him to as-Saib ibn Ukht Namir (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask about something that Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) had observed in his prayer. He said: Yes, I prayed alongside Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) in the maqsurah, and when the imam gave the salam I stood up in the very place where I had prayed the obligatory prayer and offered the sunnah prayers. Later, when Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) returned home, he sent for me and said: Do not do again what you did. When you have prayed the Friday (Jumuah) prayer, do not join any other prayer to it until you have spoken to someone or moved from that place (i.e. change your place), for the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم commanded us that "we should not join one prayer to another until we have spoken to someone or moved from our place." The maqsurah refers to a special enclosure or area built in a corner of the mosque for the rulers. The caliph of the time and the rulers would offer their congregational prayers in this protected place; it is mentioned here only because of the nature of this particular incident. Otherwise this ruling applies to every prayer, not to Jumuah alone: between every obligatory prayer and its sunnah one should make a separation — by speaking, or by changing one's place, or by leaving the mosque and offering it at home.
