دشمنانِ اسلام کے ساتھ دوستی و ہم نشینی نہ رکھو
حضرت ابو سعید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ:۔ ''مسلمان کے علاوہ اور کسی (کافر و مشرک) کو اپنا ہم نشین اور دوست نہ بناؤ، تمہارا کھانا پرہیزگار اور نیکوکار کے علاوہ اور کوئی کھانے نہ پائے''۔ (ترمذی، ابو داؤد و دارمی)
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس حدیث میں واضح طور پر امت کو دشمنانِ دین اور بدکار لوگوں کے ساتھ دوستی و ہمنشینی اور ہم نوالہ و ہم پیالہ ہونے سے منع فرمایا ہے، تاکہ ان سے الفت و محبت قائم ہونے کا سبب پیدا نہ ہو اور ان کی صحبت و ہم نشینی کی وجہ سے کفر و شرک اور بدکاری و برائیوں کے جراثیم مسلمانوں میں سرایت نہ کریں۔
لہٰذا مسلمانوں کو چاہیے کہ وہ اپنے عقیدہ کا امتیازی تشخص برقرار رکھیں اور جو اللہ اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پسند کرتے ہیں اسی کو پسند کریں اور جو اللہ اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ناگوار ہے اس کو ناپسند کریں اور اہلِ اسلام آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے مددگار بنیں اور متحد ہوں کیونکہ کافر آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے مددگار اور ساتھی ہیں، چاہیے ان میں آپس میں کتنے ہی گروہی اختلافات ہوں، ارشادِ باری تعالیٰ ہے۔
''کافر آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے رفیق ہیں، (تو مومنو!) اگر تم نے ایسا نہ کیا تو ملک میں فتنہ برپا ہوگا اور بہت زبردست فساد ہو جائے گا''۔ (الانفال ـ ۷۳)
یعنی جس طرح کافر ایک دوسرے کے دوست اور حمایتی ہیں اسی طرح اگر تم نے بھی ایمان کی بنیاد پر ایک دوسرے کی حمایت اور کافروں و مشرکین سے کنارہ کشی نہ اختیار کی تو لوگوں میں فتنہ و فساد پھیلے گا اور وہ اس طرح کہ مومن و کافر کے باہمی اختلاط سے لوگ دین کے معاملے میں اشتباہ میں پڑ جائیں گے، کفار کی قدیم تاریخ اور موجودہ حالات یہی بتلاتے ہیں کہ ان کو مسلمانوں کے خلاف دشمنی پر ان کے کافرانہ عقائد نے ایک کیا ہوا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ کا ارشاد ہے۔
''اور تم سے نہ تو یہودی کبھی خوش ہوں گے اور نہ عیسائی یہاں تک کہ ان کے مذہب کی پیروی اختیار کرلو''۔ (البقرہ ـ ۱۲۰)
لہٰذا مسلمانوں کو چاہیے کہ وہ یہود و نصاریٰ اور دوسرے مشرکین جو کہ دینِ اسلام کے دشمن ہیں ان سے دوستی نہ کریں نہ ہی ان کو اپنا رازداں بنائیں اور آپس میں گروہی اختلافات کو ختم کرنے کی کوشش کریں، کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا حکم ہے۔
''اے ایمان والو! تم اپنا رازداں ایمان والوں کے سوا اور کسی کو نہ بناؤ، (تم تو) نہیں دیکھتے دوسرے لوگ تمہاری تباہی میں کوئی کسر اٹھا نہیں رکھتے، اور چاہتے ہیں کہ جس طرح ہو تمہیں تکلیف پہنچے، ان کی زبانوں سے تو دشمنی ظاہر ہو ہی چکی ہے اور جو کینے ان کے سینوں میں چھپے ہوئے ہیں وہ کہیں اور زیادہ ہیں، اگر تم عقل رکھتے ہو تو ہم نے تم کو اپنی آیتیں کھول کھول کر سنا دی ہیں۔ دیکھو تم ایسے صاف دل ہو کہ ان لوگوں سے دوستی رکھتے ہو حالانکہ وہ تم سے دوستی نہیں رکھتے، اور تم سب کتابوں پہ ایمان رکھتے ہو اور وہ تمہاری کتاب کو نہیں مانتے، اور جب تم سے ملتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لے آئے اور جب الگ ہوتے ہیں تو تم پر غصے کے سبب انگلیاں کاٹ کاٹ کھاتے ہیں، ان سے کہہ دو کہ بدبختو! غصے میں مر جاؤ، اللہ تمہارے دلوں کی باتوں سے خوب واقف ہے۔ اگر تمہیں آسودگی حاصل ہو تو ان کو بری لگتی ہے اور اگر تم کو تکلیف پہنچے تو خوش ہوتے ہیں، اور اگر تم تکلیفوں کو برداشت اور ان سے کنارہ کشی کرتے رہو گے تو ان کا فریب تمہیں کچھ بھی نقصان نہ پہنچا سکے گا، یہ جو کچھ کرتے ہیں اللہ اس پر احاطہ کیے ہوئے ہے''۔ (آل عمران، ۱۱۸ـ۱۲۰)
آج مسلمان کافروں اور مشرکوں کو اپنا دوست اور رازداں بنائے ہوئے ہیں، جس کی وجہ سے اسلامی ممالک داخلی اور خارجی انتشار کا شکار ہیں، ان کفار کے مکر و فریب سے بچنے کا طریقہ قرآن اور حدیث میں ہمیں واضح طور پر بتلا دیا گیا ہے، وہ یہ کہ ان سے دوستی نہ رکھی جائے اور اگر مسلمانوں پر کوئی تکلیف آئے تو صبر اختیار کریں، آج اس صبر اور تقویٰ کے فقدان نے غیر مسلموں کو کامیاب بنا رکھا ہے، لوگ سمجھتے ہیں کہ کافروں کی یہ کامیابی مادی اسباب و وسائل کی فراوانی اور سائنس و ٹیکنالوجی میں ان کی ترقی کا نتیجہ ہے، حالانکہ واقعہ یہ ہے کہ مسلمانوں کی پستی و زوال کا اصل سبب یہی ہے کہ وہ اپنے دین پر استقامت سے محروم اور تقویٰ سے عاری ہو گئے ہیں، جو مسلمانوں کی کامیابی کی کلید اور تائیدِ الٰہی کے حصول کا ذریعہ ہیں۔
لہٰذا مسلمانوں کو چاہیے کہ وہ اپنے عقیدہ کا امتیازی تشخص برقرار رکھیں اور جو اللہ اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پسند کرتے ہیں اسی کو پسند کریں اور جو اللہ اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ناگوار ہے اس کو ناپسند کریں اور اہلِ اسلام آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے مددگار بنیں اور متحد ہوں کیونکہ کافر آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے مددگار اور ساتھی ہیں، چاہیے ان میں آپس میں کتنے ہی گروہی اختلافات ہوں، ارشادِ باری تعالیٰ ہے۔

English translation
Abu Sa'id (RA) narrated that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Take none but a believer as a companion and friend, and let none but a God-fearing, righteous person eat your food." (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Darimi)
In this hadith the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has clearly forbidden the Ummah from taking the enemies of the faith and evil people as friends and companions, and from eating and drinking together with them, so that no cause of affection and love may develop with them, and so that through their company the germs of disbelief, polytheism, wickedness and evil may not seep into the Muslims.
Muslims should therefore preserve the distinct identity of their creed, loving what Allah and His Messenger ﷺ love and disliking what is displeasing to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. The people of Islam should be helpers of one another and united, for the disbelievers are helpers and allies of one another, however many factional differences there may be among them. Allah Almighty says:
"The disbelievers are allies of one another. (O believers!) If you do not do so, there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption." (Al-Anfal 8:73)
That is, just as the disbelievers are friends and supporters of one another, in the same way, if you too do not support one another on the basis of faith and keep away from the disbelievers and polytheists, turmoil and corruption will spread among the people — in such a way that, through the mixing of believer and disbeliever, people will fall into confusion regarding the matter of religion. The ancient history and present circumstances of the disbelievers alike show that it is their disbelieving beliefs that have united them in enmity against the Muslims. Allah says:
"Never will the Jews or the Christians be pleased with you until you follow their religion." (Al-Baqarah 2:120)
Muslims should therefore not befriend the Jews, the Christians and other polytheists who are enemies of the religion of Islam, nor take them as confidants; and they should strive to put an end to factional differences among themselves, because Allah has commanded:
"O you who believe! Do not take as intimate confidants any but your own people; they spare no effort to ruin you and wish for you nothing but hardship. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is even greater. We have made the signs clear to you, if you would but understand. Here you are, loving them while they do not love you, though you believe in all the Books. When they meet you they say, 'We believe,' but when they are alone they bite their fingertips in rage against you. Say, 'Die in your rage.' Indeed, Allah is fully aware of what is in the breasts. If good befalls you it grieves them, but if harm afflicts you they rejoice at it. Yet if you are patient and God-fearing, their plotting will not harm you at all. Indeed, Allah encompasses all that they do." (Al-Imran 3:118-120)
Today Muslims have taken disbelievers and polytheists as friends and confidants, on account of which the lands of Islam are afflicted with internal and external disunity. The way to be safe from the deception and treachery of these disbelievers has been made clear to us in the Qur'an and the Hadith: namely, that they should not be befriended, and that if any hardship befalls the Muslims they should adopt patience. Today the absence of this patience and piety has made the non-Muslims successful. People imagine that this success of the disbelievers is the result of their abundance of material means and their advancement in science and technology, whereas the fact is that the real cause of the Muslims' decline and downfall is precisely that they have lost steadfastness upon their religion and become devoid of the piety that is the key to the Muslims' success and the means of attaining the help of Allah.
