فقر کا علاج ـ اللہ عز و جل کی عبادت کے لیے فارغ ہونا
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ اللهَ يَقُوْلُ: ابْنَ اٰدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِيْ أَمْلَأْ صَدْرَكَ غِنًى وَ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ وَ إِلَّا تَفْعَلْ مَلَأْتُ يَدَكَ شُغْلاً وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ۔
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا ارشاد ہے کہ: ''ابن آدم، تو میری عبادت کے لیے اپنے آپ کو فارغ کر لے میں تیرے سینے کو استغناء سے بھر دوں گا اور تیرے فقر و احتیاج کے راستے کو بند کر دوں گا۔ اور اگر تو نے ایسا نہ کیا تو میں تیرے ہاتھ کو (دنیا کے) مشاغل سے بھر دوں گا اور تیرے فقر و افلاس کو بھی نہیں روکوں گا۔'' (ابن ماجہ و ترمذی)
فقر سے بچنے اور حصول رزق کے اسباب میں سے ایک سبب یہ ہے کہ بندہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت کے لیے فارغ ہو جائے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت کے لیے فارغ ہونے سے مراد یہ نہیں کہ بندہ دن رات مسجد میں بیٹھا رہے اور حصول رزق کے لیے کوئی کوشش نہ کرے۔ بلکہ اس کے معنی یہ ہیں کہ جب اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت کرے تو قلب اور قالب یعنی دل اور جسم دونوں حاضر ہوں۔ عبادت میں خشوع و خضوع ہو۔ رب ذوالجلال کی عظمت و کبریائی اس کے دل میں جاگزیں ہو۔ اس کو اس بات کا ادراک و احساس ہو کہ وہ کائنات کے مالک اللہ تعالیٰ سے ہم کلام ہے۔ جیسا کہ ایک روایت میں اس طرح آتا ہے: ﴿اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت اس طرح کرو کہ گویا تم اسے دیکھ رہے ہو۔ اگر اس کیفیت کو نہ پا سکو تو یہ ہو کہ اگر تم اسے نہیں دیکھ رہے ہو تو وہ تو تمہیں دیکھ رہا ہے۔﴾ (بحوالہ مسلم)
حدیث پاک میں رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے امت کو خبر دی ہے کہ پوری توجہ اور یکسوئی سے اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت کرنے والے کے لیے اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے دو انعامات ملنے کا وعدہ ہے۔ پہلا انعام یہ ہے کہ وہ اس کے دل کو تونگری سے بھر دیں گے اور دوسرا انعام یہ ہے کہ وہ اس کو لوگوں سے بے نیاز فرما دیں گے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کا فرمان ہے میری بندگی اور میری عبادت کا تجھے یہ نقد صلہ ملے گا کہ تو غیر اللہ سے بے نیاز ہو جائے گا۔ تجھے غیر اللہ کی پروا نہ ہوگی۔ علم و معرفت کی وجہ سے تو غنی ہو جائے گا۔ تیرے رزق میں برکت ہوگی۔ تو کبھی ذلیل نہیں ہو سکتا۔ تیرے وقار اور عزت کا میں محافظ ہو جاؤں گا۔ تھوڑے رزق میں بھی تجھے ایسی آسودگی حاصل ہوگی جو کسی دولت مند کو اپنی دولت کی فراوانی کے باوجود بھی حاصل نہیں ہو سکتی۔
ساتھ ہی حدیث پاک میں توجہ اور دھیان سے عبادت نہ کرنے والوں کے لیے اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے دوسرے خطرے کی طرف تنبیہ کی گئی ہے۔ پہلی سزا یہ ہے کہ وہ دنیا کے بے کار کاموں میں الجھ جائے گا اور دوسری سزا یہ ہے کہ وہ ہمیشہ لوگوں کا دست نگر اور محتاج رہے گا۔ یعنی اگر اپنے رب کی عبادت اور بندگی سے بے پروا ہو کر مشاغل دنیاوی میں لگا رہا تو بس تو دنیاوی کا ہو کر رہے گا۔ جس سے تجھے فراغ حاصل نہیں ہو سکتا۔ تو پریشان اور سرگرداں پھرتا رہے گا۔ تیری بھوک اور ہوس کبھی نہ جائے گی۔ زیادہ سے زیادہ دنیا سمیٹنے کی فکر میں اپنے دل کا اطمینان و سکون کھو بیٹھے گا۔ حقیقی راحت و سکون کی زندگی تجھے میسر نہ آ سکے گی۔
ایک اور روایت میں اس طرح آتا ہے کہ رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ﴿تمہارے رب تبارک وتعالیٰ ارشاد فرماتے ہیں کہ: اے آدم کے بیٹے! میری عبادت کے لیے فارغ ہو جا، میں تیرے دل کو تونگری سے پر کر دوں گا اور تیرے دونوں ہاتھوں کو رزق سے بھر کر دوں گا۔ اے آدم کے بیٹے! مجھ سے دوری اختیار نہ کر (اگر تو نے ایسا کیا) تو میں تیرے دل کو محتاجی سے بھر دوں گا اور تیرے دونوں ہاتھوں کو (دنیا کے) کاموں میں لگا دوں گا۔﴾ (بحوالہ حاکم)
مختصراً یہ کہ جو لوگ اپنے آپ کو دل و جان کے ساتھ اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت میں لگاتے ہیں ان کے دلوں کو پیدا کرنے والے اور خزانوں کے مالک اللہ تعالیٰ تونگری سے لبریز کر دیں گے۔ پھر محتاجی کا احساس اور دست نگری کا تصور کیسے اس کے قریب پھٹک سکتا ہے اور جس کے ہاتھوں کو کائنات کے رازق رزق سے بھر دیں وہ غربت و افلاس کا شکار کیونکر ہو سکتا ہے؟

مختصراً یہ کہ جو لوگ اپنے آپ کو دل و جان کے ساتھ اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت میں لگاتے ہیں ان کے دلوں کو پیدا کرنے والے اور خزانوں کے مالک اللہ تعالیٰ تونگری سے لبریز کر دیں گے۔ پھر محتاجی کا احساس اور دست نگری کا تصور کیسے اس کے قریب پھٹک سکتا ہے اور جس کے ہاتھوں کو کائنات کے رازق رزق سے بھر دیں وہ غربت و افلاس کا شکار کیونکر ہو سکتا ہے؟
English translation
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that Allah Most High says: "O son of Adam, free yourself for My worship and I shall fill your breast with contentment and close up the path of your poverty and need. And if you do not do so, I shall fill your hands with occupations and I shall not hold back your poverty and destitution either."
One of the means of escaping poverty and of obtaining sustenance is that a servant should free himself for the worship of Allah Most High. Being free for the worship of Allah does not mean that a person should sit in the mosque day and night and make no effort to earn a living. Rather it means that when he worships Allah Most High, both heart and body should be present. There should be humility and submissiveness in the worship. The greatness and majesty of the Lord of Glory should be settled in his heart. He should perceive and feel that he is speaking with Allah Most High, the Master of the universe. As it comes in one narration: "Worship Allah as though you see Him; and if you cannot attain that state, then let it be that although you do not see Him, He surely sees you." (Reported by Muslim)
In this blessed hadith the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) informed the community that Allah has promised two rewards to the one who worships Him with full attention and single-mindedness. The first reward is that He will fill his heart with self-sufficiency, and the second is that He will make him independent of people. Allah Most High says: this is the immediate recompense you will receive for serving and worshipping Me — that you will become independent of all besides Allah; you will have no concern for anything other than Allah; through knowledge and gnosis you will become rich; there will be blessing in your sustenance; you can never be humiliated; I shall become the guardian of your dignity and honour. Even in a small provision you will find such contentment as no wealthy person can attain despite the abundance of his wealth.
At the same time, this blessed hadith warns of a further danger from Allah for those who do not worship with attention and mindfulness. The first punishment is that such a person will become entangled in the useless affairs of the world, and the second is that he will always remain dependent on people and in need of them. That is: if you remain heedless of the worship and service of your Lord and stay absorbed in worldly occupations, then you will simply belong to the world, and you will find no ease from it. You will keep wandering about troubled and distracted. Your hunger and greed will never leave you. In the anxiety of gathering more and more of the world you will lose the peace and tranquillity of your heart. A life of true rest and repose will not be granted to you.
In another narration it comes that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Your Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, says: O son of Adam! Free yourself for My worship, and I shall fill your heart with self-sufficiency and fill both your hands with provision. O son of Adam! Do not distance yourself from Me, (for if you do) I shall fill your heart with neediness and occupy both your hands with the affairs of the world." (Reported by Hakim)
In short: those who devote themselves heart and soul to the worship of Allah Most High will have their hearts filled to overflowing with self-sufficiency by Allah, the Creator of hearts and the Owner of all treasures. How then can the feeling of neediness and the notion of dependence come anywhere near such a person? And how can one whose hands are filled with sustenance by the Provider of the universe ever fall prey to poverty and destitution?
