مسلمانوں کو اتحاد و اتفاق کی ضرورت
حضرت ثوبان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ: ''ایک ایسا زمانہ آنے والا ہے کہ (کفر و باطل) کی جماعتیں تمہیں ختم کرنے کے لیے آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو اس طرح بلا بلا کر جمع کر لیں گی جیسے کھانے والے ایک دوسرے کو بلا کر پیالہ کے آس پاس جمع ہو جاتے ہیں، یہ سن کر ایک صحابی نے سوال کیا کہ ہم اس روز کم ہوں گے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا نہیں! بلکہ تم اس روز تعداد میں بہت ہو گے، لیکن گھاس کے ان تنکوں کی طرح ہو گے جنہیں پانی کا سیلاب بہا کر لے جاتا ہے (پھر ارشاد فرمایا کہ) اور اللہ ضرور ضرور تمہارے دشمنوں کے دل سے تمہارا رعب نکال دے گا، اور بالضرور یقیناً وہ تمہارے دلوں میں کاہلی اور سستی ڈال دے گا۔ ایک صحابی نے عرض کیا کہ سستی کا (سبب) کیا ہوگا، اس پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ دنیا (یعنی مال و دولت سے) محبت کرنے لگو گے اور موت کو مکروہ سمجھنے لگو گے''۔ (ابو داؤد)
اسلام ہمیں ایک مکمل ضابطۂ حیات عطا کرتا ہے، اس کے بتائے ہوئے اصول اور اس کی متعین کی ہوئی اخلاقی اقدار ہماری زندگی کے لیے مشعلِ راہ ہیں، جب بھی ہم نے ان اصولوں سے انحراف کیا ہے اور جب بھی ہم نے ان اقدار سے دامن بچایا ہے، بدحالی و بے بسی نے ہمارے گرد گھیرا ڈالا ہے اور زوال ہمارا مقدر بن گیا ہے، دورِ حاضر میں عالمِ اسلام میں انتشار و افتراق اور اخلاقی بے راہ روی کی جو فضا پھیلی ہوئی ہے وہ اس بات کا تقاضا کرتی ہے کہ ہم نہایت شدت کے ساتھ اپنے روزمرہ کے اعمال کا احتساب کریں اور اپنی کوتاہیوں اور غفلتوں کا مداوا کریں۔
اس وقت پوری دنیا میں مسلمانوں کی آبادی ایک ارب کے قریب ہے، اتنی بڑی تعداد مسلمانوں کی پہلے کبھی نہیں ہوئی لیکن آج اسلام دشمن قوتیں مسلمانوں پر غالب آئی ہوئی ہیں اور بظاہر لگتا ہے کہ مندرجہ بالا حدیث کے پورا ہونے کا وقت آیا ہوا ہے، مسلمان آج اپنی آنکھوں سے اس حالت زار کو دیکھ رہے ہیں کہ کوئی قوم انہیں نہ عزت و وقعت کی نگاہ سے دیکھتی ہے نہ دنیا میں ان کا رہنا گوارا کرتی ہے، ایک وہ بھی زمانہ تھا کہ دوسری قومیں اپنے اوپر مسلمانوں کو حکمران دیکھنا چاہتی تھیں۔
مسلمانوں کو آج ذلت و خواری کا منہ کیوں دیکھنا پڑ رہا ہے اور ایک ارب کی تعداد کے باوجود بھی غیروں سے کیوں ڈر رہے ہیں، اس کا جواب بھی خود ہادیِ برحق صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس حدیث میں ہی فرما دیا کہ دنیا کی محبت اور موت کے خوف کے باعث یہ حال ہو رہا ہے، جب مسلمان دنیا کو محبوب نہ سمجھتے تھے اور جنت کے مقابلے میں (جو موت کے بغیر نہیں مل سکتی) دنیا کی زندگی ان کی نظروں میں کچھ بھی حقیقت نہیں رکھتی تھی (اس لیے وہ موت سے نہیں ڈرتے تھے) اگر چہ تعداد میں وہ کم تھے لیکن دوسری قوموں پر حکمران رہے اور اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کر کے غیروں کے دلوں تک پر حکومت کرنے لگے، آج جو ہمارا حال ہے اسے خود بدل سکتے ہیں بشرطیکہ پچھلے مسلمانوں کی طرح دنیا کو ذلیل اور موت کو عزیز از جان سمجھنے لگیں ورنہ ذلت اور بدحالی ہی رہے گی، آج ہمیں انفرادی اور اجتماعی طور پر اپنی اصلاح کی اور اتحاد کی جو ضرورت درپیش ہے وہ غالباً پہلے کبھی نہیں رہی، اور اس کا حل بھی اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے پاک صحیفے میں بتلا دیا ہے:
''اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی رسی کو مضبوطی سے پکڑ لو اور تفرقے میں نہ پڑو'' (آل عمران ۔ 103)
اللہ تعالیٰ ہم سب مسلمانوں کو ایک جسدِ خاکی کی مانند بنا دے تاکہ ہم سب مل کر کفر و باطل قوتوں کا مقابلہ کر سکیں جو کہ مسلمانوں کو صفحۂ ہستی سے مٹانے کے درپے ہیں۔

''اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی رسی کو مضبوطی سے پکڑ لو اور تفرقے میں نہ پڑو'' (آل عمران ۔ 103)
اللہ تعالیٰ ہم سب مسلمانوں کو ایک جسدِ خاکی کی مانند بنا دے تاکہ ہم سب مل کر کفر و باطل قوتوں کا مقابلہ کر سکیں جو کہ مسلمانوں کو صفحۂ ہستی سے مٹانے کے درپے ہیں۔
English translation
Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم once said: "A time is coming when the nations (of disbelief and falsehood) will call one another to fall upon you and destroy you, just as diners call one another to gather around a dish." Hearing this, a Companion asked: Will we be few in number on that day? The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: No! Rather, you will be many in number on that day, but you will be like the scum carried away by a torrent of water. (He then said:) And Allah will surely remove the awe of you from the hearts of your enemies, and He will surely cast weakness and lassitude into your hearts. A Companion asked: What will be the cause of this weakness? The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: You will come to love the world (that is, wealth and riches) and to hate death. (Abu Dawud)
Islam grants us a complete code of life; the principles it has laid down and the moral values it has fixed are a guiding light for our lives. Whenever we have deviated from these principles, and whenever we have turned away from these values, wretchedness and helplessness have surrounded us and decline has become our lot. In the present age, the discord, division and moral waywardness that has spread throughout the Muslim world demands that we take strict account of our daily deeds and remedy our shortcomings and negligences.
Today the Muslim population of the world is close to one billion — never before have Muslims been so numerous — yet today the enemies of Islam have gained the upper hand over the Muslims, and it appears that the time for the fulfilment of the above hadith has come. With their own eyes the Muslims today witness this pitiable state, in which no nation regards them with honour and esteem, nor is willing to let them live in the world. There was once a time when other nations wished to see the Muslims as rulers over them.
Why must the Muslims today face humiliation and disgrace, and why, despite numbering a billion, do they fear others? The answer, too, was given by the true Guide صلى الله عليه وسلم himself in this very hadith: that this state has come about through love of the world and fear of death. When the Muslims did not hold the world dear, and the life of this world held no reality in their eyes compared with Paradise (which cannot be attained without death) — and so they did not fear death — then, though few in number, they ruled over other nations and, by striving in the way of Allah, came to rule even over the hearts of others. The state we are in today we can change ourselves, provided that, like the earlier Muslims, we come to regard the world as lowly and death as dearer than life; otherwise humiliation and wretchedness will remain. Today the need before us, both individually and collectively, to reform ourselves and to unite has perhaps never been greater; and Allah, the Exalted, has set out its solution in His Holy Book:
"And hold fast, all together, to the rope of Allah, and do not fall into division" (Al-Imran 103).
May Allah, the Exalted, make all of us Muslims like a single body, so that together we may stand against the forces of disbelief and falsehood that are bent on wiping the Muslims from the face of existence.
